'Passing Currents (10-Panel)' is also available in a 5-Panel Design with the same grind pattern, but without the horizontal cut. This is another of Nicholas most popular pieces, with it's calm, sloping curves and gentle wave effect. It is often times compared to a soft breeze, a slow wave, or even a large fish, although not as much as the 5-Panel design because it is simply more segmented. It does, however fit nicely with some of the aquatic-themed pieces (see also Polar Encapsulation, Trunion, and Green/Blue Inversion).
The numerous panel design of the Passing Currents (10-Panel) has become a regular favorite among contemporary decorators, as the popular modern artwork of today is commonly composed of multiple panels aligned together. As with the larger-panel pieces, each panel of this sculpture must be hung individually.
