Imagine sitting in a train, staring out the window. Your head is reclined as you try and find a comfortable spot on the cold, hard seat. You watch as a line of bare trees fly past as the train speeds over the winter landscape. It is hypnotizing- you find yourself falling into a trance as you watch one tree fading into the next. The fatigue of a long days travel sets in, the colors fade and brighten. The trees appear red against the cold, harsh background.

The 'Faculae' piece brings to mind this feeling as you look at the stark contrast of bright trees against the cool backdrop.
