Nicholas Yust - Abstract Metal Art All of the pieces in our gallery are hand-made by Nicholas Yust. Any of his abstract metal art can be recreated or customized to meet your size, design, color, or material specifications. For example, a pure-metal, aluminum multi-panel piece such as FUSION can be made out of copper, created in one solid panel (instead of seven), rotated 90 degrees and painted with all the colors of the rainbow. All sculptures are signed and dated for authenticity.Artwork Details & Information Most of our wall hanging and floor standing sculptures are fabricated from 2024 and 6061 sheet, plate and tube aluminum and sheet and wrought stainless steel. These aluminum alloys are environmentally friendly and applicable for both indoor and outdoor placement. Decorative grinding can range from heavy to light grinds depending on the sculpture. Thin transparent aluminum oxide (on aluminum) and chromium oxide (on stainless steel) layers form protective barriers which offer brilliant reflection and environmental resistance to corrosion.
Sculptures with colored regions use a vibrant atomized acrylic paint which is under-laid with a protective primer base coat. These coatings are also applicable for indoor and outdoor placement. Sculptures containing digital art prints are only for indoor applications due to the print being made from glossy front card stock. Artwork Care & Maintenance Metallic shine and acrylic coating are guaranteed. All exposed metal and acrylic areas should be cleaned with conventional products such as 409.
