Diffusion

'Diffusion' is one of four of Nicholas Yust's metal wall sculptures that features numerous circular grinds as the dominant pattern (see also Conduction, Sphere Morphology, and Inter-Diffusion). These circle patterns are made using a variety of grinding pads and textures. This gives the surface a multi-textural appearance and, of course, allows for variety in size of the cirles.

Variations of the Diffusion piece and the other circular-grind pieces are extremely popular all over the world. The combination of large circles and small dots appeals to the contemporary design of modern homes and businesses, while adding energy and personality to the room.
