All Sculptures: Both Wall-Hanging and Free-Standing
The metal panels used in all of Nicholas Yust's metal artwork are fabricated from high quality, heavy gauge industrial grade aluminum. The textured metallic surfaces are created using several signature grinding, sanding and polishing techniques developed and perfected by the artist. The materials used to create this piece and the protective coats applied are suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.
Hanging/Mounting Hardware on Your Panels
Mounting brackets and spacers are included with your wall-hanging metal sculptures (centered and attached to the back of each panel) and the sculpture comes ready to hang at your home, office or business. Generally all you will need is a set of nails, screws, and/or drywall anchors. MonkeyHooks also work well. Metal tracks can also be purchased at your local hardware store for more secure mounting in high-traffic areas. See more info on how to hang your metal art.
Metallic Shine is Guaranteed
Each panel is packaged and shipped carefully to ensure this (view our Metal Artwork Shipping Page for more details). All of the artwork is shipped 100% insured, so if by any chance the shipping company damages the piece in transit, PLEASE contact us and Nicholas can provide the information for a damage claim.
Artwork Lighting Techniques
All sculptures are photographed with gallery lighting, using either quartz halogen or fluorescent bulbs. We suggest placing the sculpture near a bright light source. Quartz halogen bulbs are typically found in track lighting and they produce a softer, golden tone to the reflections in the metal. Fluorescent bulbs are also very popular and produce a sharper reflection, with white/silver/chrome tones.
Maintenance & Care for Your New Metal Art
Metallic shine and acrylic coating are guaranteed on all of Nicholas' metal sculptures. Although the sculptures are created from metal, they should still be handled and treated as you would any other fine art. Excessive touch, rubbing, scratching, and other such contact with the surface of the sculptures can and will damage the piece, often times permanently. All exposed metal and acrylic areas should be dusted regularly with a dry clean cotton cloth. If accidental smudging/marking/fingerprinting should occur, the piece should be cleaned immediately using a damp cotton cloth with a small amount of hand soap (gently rubbing circles over the affected area) and then immediately dried with using a dry cotton cloth.
PLEASE NOTE: Never use alcohol based products, bleaches or abrasive detergents for cleaning any part of your artwork; this may affect the grind patterns and/or coloring on your sculpture.
